7M2UHF Single Op 6M Low Power Digital I enjoyed the contest
AG6X Single Op ALL Low Power Digital Terrible condx for The Lower Left Corner of the US. Midwest and East Coast had stellar condx
AJ6T Single Op ALL High Power Digital I had a great time in this contest. Sporadic-E on 6m was nearly continuous. I worked one European on 6m and heard others but did not chase them in order to continue with domestic rate. An excursion to FT4 was very fruitful. I had to limit my output power on 6m due to the close proximity of my 6m Yagi to the shack. I worked some exciting 2m Es after the contest but not during the event. 6m: K3s, KPA1500 (450 watts), 4el LFA, loop at 50 feet 2m: IC9700 (100 watts), 9el LFA
AJ6T Single Op ALL High Power SSB/CW Since this contest was run on the Fourth of July weekend I could not devote much time to operating. However, it was fun to make a few analog QSOs for a refreshing change of pace and a reminder of yesteryear. I especially enjoyed a dead band 6m CW meteor scatter QSO with K5TR
DH6DAO Single Op ALL High Power SSB/CW Strange condx. Saturday nothing on 6, around midnight 6m opens to UK Sunday spotty on 6 and normal condx on 2
DJ2KP Single Op ALL Low Power Digital 2m ICOM IC-9700 6m YAESU FTDX101D
DJ7YP Single Op ALL Low Power Digital Elecraft K4D - Ant. Halo for 6m on Balkone. 2m Transv, Q5 6elm on Balkone
DK5TX Hilltopper Digital The contest itself was great fun, but logging with WSJT-X Contest Mode was frustrating. During Saturday's intense and long-lasting Sporadic-E opening many non-contesters were using the normal FT8 sequence with signal reports and expected one in return. Contest Mode correctly omits reports according to the CQ VHF Digital rules. Unfortunately WSJT-X cannot handle this mismatch during mixed contest operation. As a result many promising QSOs could not be completed because stations moved on. I lost numerous potential QSOs between 1000 and 1300 miles on 144 MHz. It may be worth considering mandatory signal reports in digital QSOs. That would make contest and normal FT8 operation compatible during Sporadic-E
