PY4NF Hilltopper SSB/CW It was a great idea to have a phone-cw session in one date and a digital session in another date. I have operated from a nice place but heard only a few stations. Hope to hear more next year. 73 de PY4NF
R4FCJ Single Op 2M QRP SSB/CW Ant. 144 (4 by 5 elements) Power 10W ASL-248M, AGL-37M Thanks for the 'CQ-VHF-SSBCW' Contest. 73!
S51DI Single Op 6M Low Power SSB/CW Best QRB is 2036km for CT2HOV at IN51RB
S56P Single Op 2M High Power SSB/CW Vy nice contest as allways!
SP9EMI Single Op ALL Low Power Digital TRX: FT857D Ant 2m 4 el DK7ZB 6m Delta
SV1NZX Single Op 6M Low Power Digital Sometimes the propagation Gods do not want to align. Most of W Europe had a huge opening to NA well into the night whilst there was almost none in SV. Propagation before contest was great and, as the contest is ending, propagation looks to be picking up again. No JA/AS in, a single VE and no AF apart from EA8. It may well be that 24 hours might not be a good choice for a BHF contest - 48 hours with 12/24 hour running windows could be an option too. 73 until next year
UR3AHF Single Op 6M Low Power Digital Icom-7600 Ant: GAP-TITAN-DX
UT0EK Single Op ALL QRP Digital TNX FOR CONTEST! 73!
UZ1WW Single Op 6M QRP Digital 73!
VA7FBS Hilltopper Digital Lousy effort and I was only able to get a couple hours or so on air before my laptop got stage fright. I built the homemade PVC 6M Moxon using the KB9VBR model. The antenna worked really well! I should put the money I saved making a homebrew antenna towards a better laptop, lol
VE2GT Single Op 6M Low Power SSB/CW just like in the good old days, before FT8
VE3SMA Single Op 6M Low Power Digital FTDX10 60 W, Moxon at 28 ft
W0ETT Single Op 6M High Power SSB/CW Enjoyed the analog vhf test and afternoon 6m opening to the east: best DX was ME and VE2 to northeast, FL to south, and VE7 to the northwest. So, contest is for CW, SSB and FM modes - good. I want to suggest that participants be allowed to operate on two of the three modes for QSO points, thus, we would be able to work a station on CW and again on SSB for 1 point each mode. Similarly, those who like phone would be able to work each other on SSB and again on FM for 1 point each mode. 73 Ken, W0ETT DM79
W0ZF Single Op ALL Low Power SSB/CW It was great to have activity on 6M SSB and CW again ! Thanks for the analog weekend! Was only able to operate for a bit on Saturday morning, but 6M was hopping for much of that time. Discovered a problem with my station that was cutting off the first dit when sending CW, so sorry for the times that my grid came out as N34 instead of EN34
W1NIV Single Op ALL Low Power SSB/CW 6 meters FM - Alinco DR-06T to an Arrow GP-52 ground plane 20 feet up. 2 meters FM - Kenwood TR-751A to an Arrow GP-146 ground plane 25 feet up
W1XM Multi-Operator Digital Rather chill contest imo but lots of sporadic E on 6m. Certain stations in New York need to work on their receive on 2m. Finally gave in and turned on our PA after a while with them booming in but never hearing us. -KC1EPN
W1XM Multi-Operator SSB/CW Fun contest. We need to get more people on air for these though. it seemed like we eventually ran out of people in the northeast to talk to. The station definitely needs more power on 6m because we hear more people than hear us, and better RX on 2m
W2SJ Single Op ALL High Power Digital I enjoyed a very limited 5 hours starting at 6 PM on Saturday until activity was nil by 11 PM. I was able to add 1.5 hours on Sunday morning until the end. For comparison, I spent much more time on the Analog contest and only scored 1539 points with 40 contacts and 27 grids. It seems like more contacts and grids were available on digital vs analog. It would have been interesting to see my score if I could have been on from the beginning on Saturday. Thanks to the sponsors for trying separate Analog and Digital contests fall all of us to have more fun! 73, Bob W2SJ FM29JR
W2SJ Single Op ALL High Power SSB/CW It was fun working an Analog only contest again! It reminds me of the old days, but with many missing calls who now favor mostly digital. I'm sure the digital weekend will have more participation. I plan to be on for some more fun! Thanks to the CQ Contest Committee for sponsoring the new format of separate analog & digital contests. I have always seen digital as 'another good tool in the tool box' and like to split my time between both modes. We'll see what we all learn from this new opportunity. 73, Bob W2SJ FM29JR
W2ZDP Single Op ALL Low Power Digital Lousy propagation !
W3SO Multi-Operator SSB/CW Not one of the better VHF contests. Looking forward to bigger and better
W4EEY Single Op ALL High Power Digital Conditions were just OK. Operated mostly on Saturday. No European stations were heard. Best DX for me was Canada. 73 de W4EEY
W4ETA/R Rover Digital Would like to see the SSB/CW/FM and Digital contest back on the same weekend. Maybe 1200utc to 0159utc on Saturday for SSB/FM/CW, and 1200utc to 0159utc on Sunday for Digi. IMO, doing the SSB/CW/FM on 4th of July weekend isn't very promising for participation, and I feel the contest suffered from it this year. Fun as always though
W5THT Single Op 6M High Power Digital Right after the end of contest Europe showed up but they did not come south of the mason-dixon line
W5THT Single Op 6M High Power SSB/CW Ionosphere sent signals where beam was not pointing
W8RU Single Op ALL High Power Digital Lots of fun. The European opening was a nice surprise. Thanks for the QSOs and 73, Ron (W8RU)
W8RU Single Op ALL High Power SSB/CW Nice to see so much SSB and CW activity on 6m. Wish there were more participants. Maybe there were and propagation didn't favor SE Michigan. Conditions on 2m seemed rather flat. Thanks for the QSOs and 73, Ron (W8RU)
W8ZN Single Op ALL High Power Digital I like the split format between digital and analog. I would prefer they be the same weekend, 24hrs of digital and 24hrs of analog or just make it so you can work a person twice, once on analog and once on digital
WA2OTC Single Op 6M Low Power SSB/CW Worked what I heard, which wasn't a lot. Until next time 73...Dave
WB2AMU Single Op 6M High Power SSB/CW This was an enjoyable contest for me. I broke in a new brass straight key that I purchased from a local antique flea market to use for CW QSOs. I believe that digital and analog modes are two different operating approaches and the CQ contest staff did a wise thing to split these approaches into two separate contest weekends
WB7PMP Single Op ALL High Power SSB/CW Start and finish later. Say 1600Z
WB8WUA Single Op 2M Low Power SSB/CW Glad to have this good VHF contest opportunity, considering the present lack of VHF activity. Unfortunately, I did not hear any activity on the six meter bad. I was glad to gain a brief temp inversion path into the state of Maryland on Sunday morning on two meters. So I am looking forward to hopefully have better success on the next ARRL Sept. VHF contest
WE7L Single Op 2M High Power SSB/CW I like the new 12:00 UTC start time as should be less thunderstorms to begin the contest at my QTH. Very poor turn out in my area. Many Thanks for sponsoring this contest
WN3A Single Op ALL Low Power Digital Operated 13 hours, rather relaxed pace, fairly flat conditions. Will likely participate again next year
WN3A Single Op ALL Low Power SSB/CW Bands were hot the day before, mediocre at the start of the contest, mostly dead by late afternoon on Saturday. Called it quits after 12 hours in the chair. Still had fun, hope for better turnout next year
WS4C Single Op 6M Low Power Digital First-ever VHF contest for me. Propagation poor, but still had fun
WW2Y Single Op 6M Low Power Digital Best QRB is 6517km for IS0BSR at JN40
WX3K Single Op ALL Low Power SSB/CW Awesome ! ANALOG rules supremely ! I hope this contest continues to flourish !
