N1PTM Single Op ALL High Power Digital First time trying SO2R
N1SFE Single Op 6M Low Power SSB/CW Saturday morning had a nice opening to the Southeast. This is the first VHF contest that I used CW- most of the QSOs were on CW. The band was ok for a couple of hours, then things started to dry up for me here. My 6 meter antenna is down, so I was using my multi-band HF dipole using the tuner. Seems to work ok when the band is open. I hope to have the 6M Yagi up before the ARRL September contest. I probably will not have the Yagi up before the CQ VHF Digital contest. Due to severe thinderstorms in the afternoon and evening, I had to disconnect and never got back on the air. The CW QSOs were my very first 6 meter CW QSOs- thanks to everyone who got on the air on a holiday weekend. 73, Paul N1SFE
N2LQH Single Op ALL Low Power Digital Still learning. Had a problem where both of my Flex radios stopped sending RF even though they were keying. I chased that problem and decided to put one radio to transmit first and the other 2nd, thinking that was the problem with the no RF output. That resulted in desensitizing them both. Finally, overnight my clocks drifted, and I wasn't decoding. Made improvements to my checklist for the next contest
N2LQH Single Op ALL Low Power SSB/CW Not a good weekend for me - 106 degrees and my air conditioning is down since Saturday AM
N2SLN Single Op ALL High Power SSB/CW 6m was 150-200w into Moxon, 2m was 150-200w into 6-el Yagi operating location was my contest van at the local club's hilltop Severe Thunderstorm Warning sent me home at 1945Z Saturday. Did not return to the hilltop until Sunday morning
N2SLO Single Op ALL High Power Digital I usually do not spend excessive time on FT8, but the time change now is good and does not take up an entire weekend. The band was open the entire contest. We had bad thunder storms on Long Island Saturday night so that ended my activities early. This contest had it all for me, west coast, midwest, south, north, and even Europe. What we did miss was Es on 2M which opened all day after the contest. The best 2M Es opening for me ever. Thanks to sponsors for a fun time
N2SLO Single Op ALL High Power SSB/CW I always like this contest since its SSB and also my two best bands. Why do folks stay on FT8 all day Saturday when band is open and its an annual contest? Consider working SSB just for this contest, even CW. You can work FT8 all day all year. Spend some time Saturday calling CQ on 6M had some takers. I had to leave for a family event at 2.30, then late at night we have severe storms so no radio. Marginal activity on 2M

UT1IC Hilltopper Digital The radio wave propagation during the test was fantastic!!! I had a blast! I successfully operated FT4 on 50 MHz, although FT2 is not listed in the Rules. I occasionally called CQ, but there were no correspondents. Good luck to CQ-VHF in its development
UT1IC Hilltopper SSB/CW Greetings to the CQVHF competition. This year I'm celebrating 23 years of participation in CQWWVHF. This year in Europe was more active than last year. Many different tests are taking place at this time, which contributes to the overall success of CQVHF. Best of luck to CQVHF next year. 73 Yuri

VE3LRL Single Op 6M High Power Digital Nice to see 6m cooperate for most of the contest! Oodles of 'new' callsigns popped on the air immediately after the contest which is a bit of a shame! Not sure if a time shift would be better or an 'off time' considered? See you next year!

VE3ZR Single Op 6M High Power SSB/CW QSO Count=17
VE7MHI Hilltopper SSB/CW I was not that impressed with the limitation the new contest times sport, finding it all sorts of things so I looked at what I might do if not /R, settling on Hilltopper. I had fun with this, roughly working out when to start to ensure I had a useful period of evening in my six hour stint. I'd moved my VHF activity from use of VA7OTC to my call sign of VE7MHI. Some folks were in the process of absorbing that, with some fun attached. This was the first run of this 'test with the 3 el 6 m Yagi-Uda. Nice stuff. Nearing the end of my hill sojourn I heard a strange to my ear ear Grid. After treating it with interest and ensuring I wouldn't interfere with any others making a contact I was able to complete with N9EAT/VE3 at EO21, some 2500+ km of me, and across the Rockies! Nothing I'd achieved before, a completely WOW! moment. Happy happy. Thanks all for the Qs. 73 John
